Founder John R. Kilpatrick

Patco Machine & Fab., Inc. was founded by John R. Kilpatrick in November 1973, as a privately owned machine shop specializing in manufacturing pins, shafts, bushings and various petroleum related machine parts. Mr. Kilpatrick's philosophy was to serve a relatively small customer base with the very best product, at a competitive price, within the time frame required by the customer.

By 1979 Patco established a reputation as a major supplier of offshore jackup rig cylinders, rig skidding jacks, motion compensator cylinders, riser tensioner cylinders, riser tensioner cylinder systems, mud suction valves, dump valves, equalizer valves and other petroleum related equipment components.

The petroleum industry depression in mid-1982 prompted Patco to broaden their product base. They aimed to provide a total customer assistance concept of Manufacturing, Systems & Services in all facets of general industry, utility organizations, land and offshore based industries and petroleum and non-petroleum related machinery and equipment.

Mr. Kilpatrick's philosophy has proven to be the corner stone of the company's success. Along with a broader product base and dedicated professional practices, Patco has seen an increase in growth of customers, personnel, equipment and building facilities and has gained a reputation as a qualified, reliable supplier.
